Diode LASER hair removal
The Diode LASER platform has the highest peak power on the market (4800W), with three different wavelengths (755nm, 810nm and 1060nm) and also with an applicator which has combined wavelengths (810nm, 940nm + 1060nm) to permanently and safely remove all kind of hair in all skin phototypes. Thanks to the USP (ultra short pulse) technology, Primelase HR is capable of delivering very short pulses with a high fluence of energy, which are perfect for residual hair the during last sessions.
The Primelase HR platform was developed based on the latest advances in aesthetic medicine in addition to all Cocoon’s expertise in the development of LASER technology with the aim of providing greater versatility and precision in treatments. Its 3 wavelengths and the wavelength combination (810nm, 940nm y 1060nm) in only one applicator means that all kinds of patients can be treated without limitation of phototype, hair type or time of year with the maximum effectiveness and security:
USP (Ultra Short Pulse) technology is a technology designed by Cocoon’s R&D department to work exclusively with our LASER platform. The USP technology is designed to combine the advantages of solid-state LASER with diode LASER, enabling work to be done with a high peak power (Up to 4,800W) delivering the energy in ultra short pulses (up to 3ms).
Primelase HR is characterised by being the only LASER diode platform that makes a combination between SSL (Solid State Laser) and diode LASER, achieving a mix of advantages: maintenance free, all skin types, Ultra Short Pulse duration and compatible with regular electrical network. Additionally, It has two working modes, static and dynamic, that enable the device to be adjusted to the individual needs of each patient and different spot sizes.
What are the benefits of Primelase HR laser hair removal?
Permanent hair removal is achieved in a short time, improving the quality of the skin. It also helps to remove cystic hair and improves problems with conditions such as folliculitis, carbuncles, hypertrichosis and hidradenitis.
How many sessions are required?
LASER hair removal requires multiple treatment sessions as we can only remove hair in the growth phase known as anagen. The number of sessions depends on the area to be treated, the thickness and color of the hair, skin type and the specific needs of each patient.
Is hair removal permanent with the Primelase HR?
Primelase HR eliminates active follicles permanently (follicles in Anagen growth phase) through successive sessions, so we can call it a permanent hair reduction. Though, there are factors that can activate currently inactive follicles, such as hormone changes, pregnancy, etc. In these cases the patient can repeat the treatment.
How long is the hair removal treatment?
The duration depends on the size of the area to be treated and the size of the of the handpiece the operator is using. Small areas as upper lip can be treated in couple of shots and its a matter of seconds. Big areas such as legs, thighs and back may take 15 to 20 minutes. Primelase HR saves a lot of time for the both patient and doctor as other lasers can take up to an hour for similar treatment.
Is it the treatment painful?
It is practically painless and it is tolerable for the patient, although some patients may feel some discomfort and heat, or cold from the device’s cooled tip.
What are the before and after treatment instructions?
The patient should avoid plucking, waxing, tweezing prior or after the treatment, patients should only shave. No active tan.
Cool compress can be used to reduce patients discomfort and swelling if there is any. Aloe vera can be used to hydrate the treated area. Using sunblock of minimum 30+SPF is necessary.
sunbathing, using self-tanning lotions and discolouring the hair the days prior to treatment to avoid discolouring of the skin. From the moment treatment starts, avoid the use of tweezers, waxing, electrolysis or any other type of hair removal systems which remove hair by the root.
Does Primelase HR treatments have any side – effects?
The risks are minimal, as Primelase HR is effective and safe. After the treatment, patient usually has a reaction so called clinical endpoint, which tells us that the treatment has been performed successfully. For example, the most common reactions for light skin types are residual erythema and perifollicular edema. Complications are very rare.
